Owasippe Summer Camp
Troop 1 Chicago goes to camp Blackhawk on the Owasippe Scout Reservation in Michigan for one week each summer. For new Scouts, the Pathfinder program, which helps them complete requirements needed to eventually attain First Class. Younger Scouts can also earn their first merit badges – a rewarding experience that brings them a proud sense of accomplishment. For more experienced Scouts, more challenging merit badges can efficiently be earned at Owasippe. An industrious Scout can earn five or six merit badges at Owasippe, in addition to advancing in rank.
